US Nationals Indianapolis 31 July - 5 August
COAST's David Carry, Robbie Renwick and Ranald Falconer were part of British contingent competing at the ConocoPhillips US nationals - the culmination of the US season.
David Carry literally flew in the day before the 400m and was only 0.05 sec from his British record with 03:47.45 which earned him 4th place just behind Michael Phelps, and he also helped the Great Britain A relay team take honours in the 4 x 200m Freestyle. David also reached the A final of the 200m Freestyle coming 6th and was again top Brit.
Robbie Renwick's preparations for the event by travelling to USA 3 weeks earlier paid off with a superb 03:49.79 in the 400m Free - 6th fastest time recorded during the meet which he swum winning the B final. He also recorded a personal best in the 800m of 08:07.77 coming 8th overall and top Brit. Robbie was also part of the winning 4 x 200m relay.

The level of competition was awesome underlining the strength in dept in the USA and underlining why they are the world's top swimming nation at present
Coach Eileen Adams commented that the trip to this event was a huge learning experience for all and that she was satisfied with the performance in both US meets and after allowing swimmers a few weeks rest, will be focussing their efforts on the Olympic qualifiers in April 2008.
